This 1944 MB came to me about 2002. It was painted about 16 different colors and the power train roared with all the fervor of toasted bearings. The engine mounts had been solidly welded to the frame so I also got to feel every piston changing direction.
I have gone completely through the engine, trans, tranfer case, both axles and steering knuckles. I did some major bodywork and paint. It still has the original flathead engine, T-84J trans and Spicer 25 axles
Along the way I added some goodies. It got locked up in the rear via LockRight, a front and rear PTO, electric winch front and pto winch rear, 3" Black Diamond springs and shocks. I also added a Dual reservoir brake maser cylinder and 11" drum brakes all around.
The paint scheme and drive train is true to its heritage, but I wanted a little easier time on the trail, so all you military historians go easy!
