This is a 1984 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade Edition. We bought this Jeep from a guy in a neighboring town for $400. The Jeep had 2 motors that came with it, one worked and one didn't, the guy could not remember which was which. Me and my dad tore apart the motor we thought was the best and to our suprise it was in pretty good shape, minus the acrons and bugs we found inside. All it needed was a rebuilt head, new spark plugs and wires, rebuilt carb and we had it running. Upgrades that it already had on it were a Rancho 2.5in suspension lift with steel braided brakelines and sway bar disconnects, a rear end locker, and Warn Locking Hubs. Upgrades that we have done to it are a set of General Lee rims with 33in Dayton Timberline MT tires, Hurst Pistol Grip shifter, a Cobra CB Radio, and a set of Hella Fog Lights. Next thing will be a custom built Roll Cage. All in all, I think we did good for a $400 Jeep that was on its last leg. It will be used for trail riding and mudding. (Rocks are not for me.) Recently took 3rd place at a local mud bog!
