About my J Series Pickup

Its a 1979 J20, with 18" removed from rear of frame, 12" of it wheelbase, 6" behind rear spring shackles. A rear crossmember was welded in, and J10 Dana44s were installed front and rear, essentially making it a short wheel-base J10 with a stronger frame. I removed 9" of bed length behind the rear wheel-wells. making it even shorter. Its not done, made pretty much of spares I had laying around since the 8-lug Dana 44 and 60 axles had been pulled for spares on my J4X truckand motor pulled. The entire outer front clip is off a '63 J200 that had been tacoed. I chopped the wheel flares to eventually fit 33" Swampers. No lift. 360 motor is out of '76 J10 parts truck (not original mill) that was then transplanted into (and out of, a few thousand miles later) my ex-'80 Cherokee Laredo. It ran on 8 cylinders intermittantly, 7 all the time. I'm enjoying building this "rat-Jeep-truck". I've practically NO money into it, (fuel line and drag-link are new) but I'll replace stuff as time passes. Needs: belts, fluids, battery, fuel tank, rebuilt Alt, and better tires to be drivable; U-joints, rear brake-stuff,  and QT chain to be reliable.
